Whiteface Mountain Highway – Part 01

A view of the Adirondacks from the Whiteface Mountain Veteran’s Memorial Highway. The highway is a five-mile drive to the 4,867 foot summit. Along the way there are areas to pull off the road and take in the majestic view of the Adirondacks. It is an awesome way to experience the wonders of the Adirondacks. Information on highway, weather conditions and visibility can be found on internet at:  Whiteface Memorial Highway – Lake Placid, NY. It is a toll road but the views along the highway and from the top are spectacular.

The trip up the highway is a testimony to the majesty of this natural wonder, a gift from our creator for our enjoyment, a part of the wondrous interplay of the features of the universe that make life possible.

While I was able to capture some nice images during my trip along the highway, it is impossible to fully capture the wonder of the experience. We have truly been blessed with a wondrous world to enjoy of which the Adirondacks are one small part. Stay tuned for more views from my trip up Whiteface Mountain.
