Dandelions

A walk on this delightful Spring Day revealed many of Nature’s delights, including these dandelions. Although considered a weed they have several benefits in addition to a bright yellow color that reminds me of sunny summer days. They are an excellent source of food for bees and other pollinators, are an effective soil aerator, and are even edible.

In addition to this these dandelions form the shape of a cross reminding me of the sacrifice Jesus made that we might know and become channels of God’s love. They also remind me that the beauty of God’s Creation exists all around us.

Today’s photo was taken at Newtonville United Methodist Church in Newtonville, NY on April 23, 2024.

I have done more than 1,400 Daily Photo Devotions, most of which can be seen on this blog.
